Convex Mirror
Storyboard
In the case of a convex mirror the angle of incidence and reflection are determined based on a line that goes from the point of impact and a point that is two focus distances from the lens behind the mirror.
A special case is a beam that comes parallel to the optical axis that is reflected as if it came from a focal point behind the mirror. Vice versa if it goes in the direction of the focus behind the mirror, it is reflected parallel to the optical axis. The latter is used in wide-angle mirrors to see 'around corners.'
