Digital photography defines an image as an array of dots called pixels that have a defined color.
The color is based on combinations of the red, blue and green components (RBG = Red, Blue, Green).

Description
Photographic images store colors in pixels that contain the three primary colors (red-green-blue). This encoding is called RGB (Red-Green-Blue), and each of the three numbers ranges from 0 to 255.
There is a non-unique relationship between RGB encoding and the different frequencies of light. Through this relationship, it's possible to determine the frequency of light for each pixel in a photo.
