Case status
Storyboard
The development of a case is a process in which there are activities and options to go trying to obtain the highest score. To simplify the monitoring, what is called the status of the case is introduced. This is associated with the degree of progress, level of compliance, restrictions such as deadlines and options that one still has. Therefore, its understanding is the basis for making timely decisions on how to proceed.

States of the cases
Description
When the case is initially created, it is blocked until its official opening date and time. During this time its state is N (not yet open).
Once it is open to be developed it goes to the P (pending) state.
Until the closing date it remains in the state of P (pending). Once the deadline has passed, there are two situations:
* 80% progress has not been achieved and the closure of the case becomes final. The state in this case is C (close).
* the advance is greater than or equal to 80% with what the case is called the so-called Joker that allows to continue working on the case until the date of closure of the validation. The state in this case is J (joker) until the validation period is reached after which the case is closed and remains in the C (close) state.
Once the case is closed, or the joker is reached, the validation must proceed. As soon as the first attempt to validate the case has been made, it goes to the blocking B (blocked) status because it is in the process of being evaluated. This change of status does not affect a case that is already closed (C) but one that has a joker since it puts an end to the possibility of continuing to work on the case.
Validation has a 'soft' term, that is, its reception is not blocked but late delivery is punished. That is, every case delivered after the deadline suffers a reduction of the maximum grade to which it can aspire. This goes down linearly to a 4.0 that is reached by exceeding the so-called grace period. That is to say:
* if it is delivered before or within the delivery period of the validation, the case aspires to the maximum grade (100% or 7)
* If it is delivered after the validation period but before the grace period expires, the maximum note is reduced linearly until it reaches the minimum of 50% or 4.0 when the second term is reached.
* If the delivery is made after the grace period, only a 50% or 4.0 note can be expected regardless of when it is delivered.
It must be borne in mind that the maximum grade to which one can aspire is maintained over time, that is, even if a case is reopened and finished, it can never aspire to the maximum grade unless it was initially delivered within the validation period .
As delivery date the date in which the student enters the link to the YouTube video is taken to the delivery form in the case. Once delivered, the case goes to the R state corresponding to the revision.
The revision leads to the case ending
* validated (V), that is, the correction was successful
* objected by form (S), in which an error was detected in a way that prevented the correction and that can be corrected without re-filming
* objected for noncompliance (X), when there is a problem that could have been detected with a revision of the video but that was sent the same (example, the image of the person is not clear, the audio does not function or is hardly audible, etc.) )
* There is a possibly ethical problem (Z) in which there would be an indication that one of the basic rules of the method would not be met, which would be equivalent to a copy in what are traditional tests.
If the minimum conditions exist, the case can be reopened with what is granted a special joker and it is assigned the status K. This state does not have more term than the end of the semester but block the reopening of another case since only There may be one special joker at a time. Once filmed the case goes to state B and the process continues as any other case.

State N
Description
Every case has a start date, that is, a date after which it can and should begin to develop the case. On dates prior to said start date the case is defined in the new or unopened state (N).
The case automatically passes to the pending status (P) once the date is after the opening date.

State P
Description
If the case is already available to be developed, we are on a date that is after the opening date but before the closing date.
The status is maintained until the closing date has passed. In the case that the advance in the case is less than 80% the case becomes closed (C), in the case that if the minimum of 80% is achieved, it is passed to the state (J) that facilitates the further development of the case .

State J
Description
If one has achieved an advance in the case above 80%, the case is not closed when the closing period is exceeded.
It is extended within a period no longer than the validation period. We say 'no major' because it is the student's responsibility to decide when to finish developing the case and proceed to validate since the term of this last activity is not modified by having the Joker.
If the validation period is exceeded, the case is closed as well as for situations in which the joker does not have the C (close) status in which the case can no longer be modified.

State B
Description
If a case
* is in a state C (closed), J (with joker) or K (reopened)
* Validation questions have been answered
you can film the validation.
If it is possible to generate a valid video, that is to say the filming is not aborted, the state passes to B or blocked. The 'blockage' refers to the fact that it is no longer possible to modify the case. If the filming is aborted before it has been successfully completed, the state continues at its previous value and if it is J the case can be modified (it is not blocked).
Once it has been blocked you can not go back. You can shoot as many times as you want until you get a satisfactory video that can be uploaded to youtube and reported to the system.
It is important to note that you can always film independently of
* of the validation period or grace period
* the advance in the case

State R
Description
Once filmed, you have to upload the best video to YouTube and enter the link to the video in the system. The date and time of delivery of the video is determined based on the moment in which the link to the system was satisfactorily entered.
It is important to ensure that the video meets the minimum requirements that allow its correction:
- the image of the webcam is clear (neither very clear nor dark) and of adequate size (face height greater than 60% of the frame)
- the audio is clear (the level is not very bayo or there are other noises)
- image and audio are correctly synchronized
to avoid a rejection due to technical problems that could have been detected before, since these lead to a rejection of the video (X) invalidating the date and time of delivery. This even if the teacher is delayed in the correction.
Only rejections that do not require new filming allow new deliveries respecting the initial date and time.
Finally it is important to note that the date and time of delivery may limit the maximum grade to which it can aspire, both in the first delivery and in those that are made after reopening the case:
* if the delivery occurs before the validation period, the maximum that can be expected in any of the revisions is 100% or 7.0
* If the delivery occurs later than the delivery date but before the grace period then the evaluation can only aspire to
or in a note
* after the grace period the evaluation or maximum grade is 50% or 4.0.

State S
Description
If the video presents a problem of form, such as:
* no access was given
* the link contains errors
that avoid the correction and that can be corrected without re-filming the state is S which implies that the link can be re-entered without losing the initial delivery date and time.

State X
Description
If the video presents a problem that prevents its evaluation and that is the responsibility of the student. Among them is that
* the image of the webcam is not clear and / or the face is not in an adequate size
* the audio is insufficient making it difficult to hear what has been said
* the video and audio are not synchronized existing a difference such that what is said can not be associated to what is being shown trivially
In these cases it is necessary to re-film the validation and since the problem could have been detected by the user, the delivery is not considered as valid.
It is important to note that this situation is treated as if it has not been delivered assuming the student the consequences that the delivery occurs with a greater delay. This even in the case that the teacher has been slow to correct the case.

State Z
Description
If there are indications that the video was generated so as not to show the domain by the student, it is classified as Z. Example of this are
* read text prepared
* external help during filming by a third party
Should this classification arise, it is important that the student contact the teacher as soon as possible in order to clarify the suspicion directly. If the case does not occur, it is treated as a 'copy', it remains with the minimum note and is blocked to validate it again.
ID:(9452, 0)
State K
Description
If the case presents at least 30% progress and its final evaluation reaches at least 30% or 2.8 then the case may be reopened. A reopened case assumes the K state and can be edited and re-filmed by passing at the time it is filmed back to state B.
It must be remembered that the re-opening does not prevent the maximum score that can be expected even if the whole case is completed to 100% and a perfect validation is presented, the evaluation is limited to the maximum that was fixed in the first delivery.
