Magnetic fields
Topic

A magnetic field is an essential component of electromagnetism, representing the force field that influences magnetic materials, electric currents, and moving electric charges. It arises due to moving electric charges, such as electrons circulating around an atom's nucleus or through a wire in the form of an electric current. This field is also inherent to magnetic materials such as iron, which have regions called domains that are aligned to produce a magnetic field.

The behavior of a magnetic field is characterized by lines of force that emerge from the north pole of a magnet and enter through the south pole, creating a continuous loop. These field lines provide a visual way to represent the direction and strength of the magnetic forces, with the density of the lines indicating the field's strength.
