A8 models the failure of the flight control system (E14) produced by agents that alter neurotransmission: organophosphate pesticides (inhibit acetylcholinesterase), heavy metals (lead, mercury), pathogens that affect the central nervous system, or natural toxins ingested with the diet. The bird's nervous system is the closed-loop controller that adjusts wing geometry (E2), muscle force (E4), and flap kinematics (E7) in real time; Its degradation does not produce a single effect but rather spreads to all actuators. The physical consequences are: greater response latency to disturbances (increased _neuro), lower corrective gain (reduced k_control), possible underdamping of the stability system (oscillations in angle of attack), and greater error in interception maneuvers (E17). The asymmetry of neural damage between the two sides of the body further produces an imbalance equivalent to that of A3, but of neural rather than structural origin.
