A8 models the failure of the flight control system (E14) produced by agents that alter neurotransmission: organophosphate pesticides (inhibit acetylcholinesterase), heavy metals (lead, mercury), pathogens that affect the central nervous system, or natural toxins ingested with the diet. The bird's nervous system is the closed-loop controller that adjusts wing geometry (E2), muscle force (E4), and flap kinematics (E7) in real time; Its degradation does not produce a single effect but rather spreads to all actuators. The physical consequences are: greater response latency to disturbances (increased _neuro), lower corrective gain (reduced k_control), possible underdamping of the stability system (oscillations in angle of attack), and greater error in interception maneuvers (E17).
