Tools that measure the state and function of plant ecosystems at regional and global scales: satellite optical and radar sensors, airborne LiDAR, eddy covariance flux tower networks, and big data analysis (Google Earth Engine). They operationalize the E14, E15 and E16 models, allowing the quantification of GPP, NEE, LAI, biomass and disturbances at scales from meters to continents, integrating the physiology of the individual with the metabolism of the ecosystem.
